The Avg Dad Gaming Story
Gaming as a parent
Whose to say everyone isn’t busy? Not me, not us. However I will say gaming as a parent always been a different vibe then when I wasn’t. Sure I still get plenty of time to get time in on my favorite games even when it comes at the cost of some hours of sleep.
Though we still game some of us maybe less then we used to, we all feel the difference from time to time. Maybe it’s saying “no thanks” to those late nights and early mornings running dungeons. Other times it might be going dark for a few days at a time. Because above all we are Dads before we are gamers. There is something else though, the new gamers in our lives, those being our kids. As much as we all look forward to getting our kids plugged into our favorite childhood game, if you’re like me then you’re also concerned. Concerned that is about the evolution of gaming culture and content. Some of us might be concerned about the type of content, exposure to the online word, the rising tide of the so-called iPad kids. Looking out for your kids comes first and that’s why Avg Dad Gaming came to be. Because we love gaming content and we love being Dad’s. Here we exist at the intersection.
We hope we can provide a space, a community, and content that caters to the wants, needs, and desires of this awesome subsection of gamers. Some of us are gamers who became fathers, others are fathers who became gamers. Whatever your story is the one thing we all have in common now is, we are all average dad gamers.
